My connection to wildlife began long before I ever held a camera or set foot on African soil. As a child, I was endlessly fascinated by the natural world — animals, wild places, and the stories of those who dedicated their lives to understanding and protecting them. Watching documentaries and reading about nature, my childhood heroes were David Attenborough and Jane Goodall. Through them, the wild felt alive, meaningful, and deeply human.

Yet life took me in a different direction. I studied diplomacy and spent many years working in international relations, far removed from the landscapes and wildlife that had captured my imagination so early on. The connection was always there — quiet, persistent — but for a long time, it remained something I admired from a distance.

Everything changed at the age of 40, during my first journey to Kenya. Standing in the wild for the first time, observing animals in their natural environment, that long-held connection suddenly became real. What had lived in me since childhood finally had space to unfold. That experience didn’t just inspire me — it redefined the way I wanted to live and work.

Today, I run a photography studio in the heart of Budapest and return to Africa regularly, drawn back by the raw honesty of the wild. Time spent on safari — quietly observing, waiting, and truly seeing — is where I feel most present and alive.

Through Doras Wildlife, my aim is not only to capture images, but to share meaningful safari experiences rooted in respect for nature and genuine connection. Whether you join a safari as a photographer or simply as someone who loves wildlife, my goal is to help you experience Africa in a way that stays with you long after the journey ends.
